NRAD History



On February 18, 1983, the National Racquetball Association for the Deaf, (NRAD) was founded.  Jim Fleming, Peter Pedula, Steve Horwich, Jim Jones, Charles Martin, Jeff Dichter and a few others had a meeting to make plans for the very first National Tournament for the Deaf on April 27-29, 1984. The West Suburban Association of the Deaf in Palatie, Illinois hosted the First Annual National Racquetball Tournament for the Deaf.

The Constitution and by-laws of NRAD were established on April 19, 1985.
